thanks for the company. yes ears can be sensitive. i usually wear headphones outside especially in winter. this helps.

Well, the last cold that old JB had was Feb 2020. Seriously, he's never been better (apart from work related stresses, but I digress)

I have yet to see one done right.

My favorite AC is capable of making me feel hot (sweaty) and cold at the same time. It's ridiculous, it shouldn't be physically possible, and yet It does that pretty much every time it's on.

Yeah, it does.
Well, I wear a beanie in winter. And a fedora in summer. It makes a nice shield against ceiling-mounted AC. Finally, having long hair I can always pull the wool over my ears. Not as good as a beanie, but at least it's something.

A proper project with ventilation, conditioning, recuperation, heating costs cosmic money Observed the same thing with my low cost AC, I think this is because of low power and high humidity, the air does not get dry, and the experience is cold, hot and airless at the same time.

Likewise, February 2020 was the last time I was proper "sick". Now my illnesses are roughly of the same frequency but without outward symptoms like spewing of pathogens trapped in mucus or a fever. Makes it hard to prove to people you're actually feeling unwell and not just lazy.

oh i am fine now by the way. it took me just 3 weeks. just all the others had or still have the same nasty illness now. It manifests like angina now. Antibiotics are prescribed but not very helpful. I hope you are fine.

I understand because I often experience such kind of sickness.
I had pharyngitis (those who has no tonsils don't experience angina but pharyngitis) with runny nose a year ago and 6 weeks ago. A year ago it was really hard for me, a week of temperature, runny nose made me not possible to distinguish the smell 12 days. I gargled salt water + a drop of iodine every 2 hours – this accelerates recovery by several days. A week of temperature and +3 weeks were needed to say that I think I recovered. This year it was more light (knocking on wood), maybe, because once I observed the first symptoms I stopped to drink water with gas, eat sunflower seeds, drink a beer outside. Wife gave me some pills but I do not know what they are because I had +39C and slept all the time, maybe, nimesulide solution to help with headache. I use pills called Septefrilum – very cheap, and drink a lot of water.

I drink Tilia infusions for flu like symptoms. Salt solution for throat pain and full nasal cavities. Acetyl salitic acid for fewer. And special herbs for cough. Last time i had antibiotics it was because of a tooth.

Tilia - I checked the Latin name in wiki and I say yes! Here we call it "Lypa" or "Lipa", and we call July "Liepień" or "Lypeń" because this is the time to collect linden inflorescences folk treatment for colds - linden tea, with honey (if no allergy). I prefer without, honey is too sweet for me, teeth ache
